Recently we have been actively looking for a holiday home in Trentino. Our customers, a young Dutch couple, are enthusiasts of sporting activities in the mountains. Important search criteria were: a home that offers a holiday feeling, at a relatively short distance from a ski area, with opportunities for sporting activities in the summer, including climbing.
Our search ended at Lake Molveno, which according to the guide Touring Club Italiano is the most beautiful lake in Italy. This lake is located exactly 5 km from ski lifts in Andalo of the Paganella Ski area. In summer, there is a mountain lift in Molveno that takes you to the Brenta Dolomites. Molveno offers various possibilities for sports activities: mountain biking on 400 km of slopes, Nordic walking on 22 marked routes, trekking along 16 trails, jogging on a path of about 10 km around the lake or paragliding. In the vicinity of Molveno you can find five climbing halls, a climbing area and more than 200 classic and sport climbing routes.
Eventually, we found an affordable house with garage near Lake Molveno, 450m from the lake, 6 km from the mountain lift of Molveno and 10 km from Andalo.
